It's now 11th march and I still have no internet since 24th January and they have no new updates every time I call! Its a disgrace .

No broadband since the morning of the storm and every time I call I am told they don't know when it will be back on. On my 17th day now, I work from home so this is far from ideal. Disappointing as sky don't even have an estimated return time.

No Internet since the morning of the day of thr Storm Friday two weeks ago this Friday,it's unbelievable that it hasn't been resolved in such a long time with all the modern technology that Sky is using,I'm living in Athlone so I guess it Depends on where you are lucky enough to live as to when Sky will fix your Internet if the havnt already,I will be making other arrangements so I don't ever have the same problem again that's for sure

I have been speaking to Sky every day since Sunday. There is a major outage affecting 700 customers in co. Galway, Longford and Sligo and they have no ETA as to when it will be back up and running. N39X242 Keenagh, co. Longford

Our internet was down all day yesterday Thursday and is still down now Friday, Postcode R93 E5D9 Anneville Shrule Carlow. Please advise what is happening

From Siro twitter account (I will never call it X!!!) There is an outage on the SIRO network in Kildare, due to accidental damage caused by a 3rd party. Several broadband retailers and their customers are impacted. We are working to fix it as soon as possible and will provide an update shortly. We apologise for this inconvenience. So someone made a big boo boo probably digging up somewhere and it probably had a knock on effect down the line.

@DerekMelia: Yeah, I say that but it didn't make sense - 1500 of those "events" in a small area? On another post the comment is that it's due to excavation on a building site but apparently no electric wires were disturbed - that seems implausible as the fibre and wires are unlikely to be so far apart.

@derekmelia: what does that mean "1500 dangerous plant lines been detected"? Hard to imagine that fibre would be an issue so is that related to buried electric wires?

Got this from a newbridge forum on fb now. Just came off phone to Sky... There is 1500 dangerous plant lines been detected.. they are trying to get it fixed. Also told this could take up to 5 days or even more ???????????????? Don't think by what the guy was saying they won't be paying out any compensation either... Very poor service IMO...

Sky down still in NEWBRIDGE practically impossible to get through to a person and when I eventually got through I was told it would be fixed by six o’clock last night not going to renew contract with sky when time comes constantly increasing charges quick to email for money but not at keeping people informed or updated

Sky WiFi down since 10am approx. yesterday morning in Clane, Co Kildare. Still not back at 7.30am this morning. I work from home! Rumour is that over 5,000 customers affected in the Co Kildare area. Crazy and finding it so difficult to get any info from Sky!

Still down in Naas. Absolute joke. Poor response on the phone. On to them several times, people in call Center may as well be chat gpt replying with “service is down and will back when it’s back”. Can’t even get anything from them confirming the start time of outage and me reporting, so I wonder how difficult it will be to get a report on outage when it’s back.
